My guess is because he just needs some more experience before he hits the NHL.. Plus Mason has been playing pretty solid since he has been starting. And tall goaltenders aren’t necessarily slower their size takes care of that their only problem would be flexibility.

hm how come hes not as good? with that size hes the tallest goalie to ever play in the NHL, i think if he can improve on his agility, he can be an elite goalie. Because the problem with way too tall goaltenders is that they are slower at getting up on their feet and less athletic.
