by Big Ben on January 6, 2009

Eli almost gets sacked yet manages to throw the football. Tyree goes up for the ball and pulls off an impossible catch!

Eli Manning escaped pressure and throwed a pass to not only be caught by Tyree but to be caught

Anonymous 01.06.09 at 4:06 am

I completely agree. The guy should not have a job as a announcer.

Given all that was on the line here–a SB championship, an undefeated season for the Pats–and Eli’s amazing scramble combined with Tyree’s spectatular Circus Catch, I truly believe this is the single Greatest Play in the eighty-some year history of the National Football League! Can anyone come up
with something better?

lol remember that time they lost today? and then you ate everything you just said?

Anonymous 01.06.09 at 4:06 am

That will always be known as “The Catch”.

Anonymous 01.06.09 at 4:06 am

best damn catch in superbowl history!

Anonymous 01.06.09 at 4:06 am

wow…you must have had a great time imagining that, but no, we’re not gay, i’ve had two-no-three ex-girlfriends, and I have people to back that up.

oh, and gay jokes? only gay people do that shit.

Anonymous 01.06.09 at 4:06 am

Anonymous 01.06.09 at 4:06 am

AMEN.

Anonymous 01.06.09 at 4:06 am

Too bad you weren’t with your friend so his hand could have been down your pants while all of this history was made.

Anonymous 01.06.09 at 4:06 am

the giants are gay

Anonymous 01.06.09 at 4:06 am

I fucking hate joe buck. thank god the superbowl is on NBC

Anonymous 01.06.09 at 4:06 am

Joe Buck sucks huge pee pee. The best play in the history of the fucking NFL, and he acts like its the pre season or something. He should have been fired on the spot

Anonymous 01.06.09 at 4:06 am

and it doesnt matter if giants players were holding, if those patriot cheaters couldnt bring down manning originally then that should give giants blockers the right to hold their asses, especially since belichek prolly had this play recorded by one of his cameramen and should have known that manning breaking tackles and tyree making dirty catches was part of the play design. he should have prepared for it.

Anonymous 01.06.09 at 4:06 am

Joe buck : “And the greatest play in super bowl history has just been made, and …. eli manning… getting very sleepy…. zzzzzzzz”

Anonymous 01.06.09 at 4:06 am

God I loved this game…I remember watching it and talking to my friend on the phone, when Tyree made that catch…wow…almost thought I lost my hearing for a second.

Anonymous 01.06.09 at 4:06 am

Bring me the head of Joe Buck on a platter!

Anonymous 01.06.09 at 4:06 am

im not complaining, whats done is done. I just remember a photo from an SI magazine that looked like there was holding. The Giants outplayed the Pats in the 4th qtr and won.

Anonymous 01.06.09 at 4:06 am

Tell me the 2 players who were “supposedly” holding. Can you actually give me the names? Go watch it again and again and you will realize that the play was absolutely clean play. Stop crying about an invisible holding call. Typical Patriot fans with excuse after excuse! I’ve heard Patriot fans crying about the ball supposedly hitting the ground but now its supposed holding calls? Sheesh…18-1 HAHAHAHA

tv callers aren’t enthusiastic
