Captain Sullenberger; The right man, in the right place, at the right time. We should all try to be just a little bit more like this man. He was one cool cookie when most of us would have been freaking out. He did his job most likely as good as anyone in the world could have; he was 100% professional, calm, cool, and collected. Like he said, his entire life was in preparation to handle that particular moment. A few days after the crash he called the library to inform them that he was not …

the best thing about this interview is how couric tries to lead sullenberger to dramatize/sensationalize/overhype/exaggerate what happened and he has none of it. seems like a down to earth guy.

From what I understand, the whole crew was on their game. Spot on! All true heros in my eyes.

what a man!
the last line is probably my favorite…
the interviewer asks some very anoying questions if you know about flying, but everyone needs to understand that she is not an aviation specialist and neither ar the people that she is broadcasting to.

THERE WAS STILL A BIG IF, what a cunt for saying that. like she has any right to judge his actions especially after he saved every life on that plane. the most dangerous part of her day is deciding what to have for lunch.

Funny, everyone’s comment is about how great he held his composure and stayed calm. Yet, in the office environment, when people keep their calm they are percieved in not caring.
Hypocrites. He does what he does well, as he should. And we are all amazed by this.
Rather, we should be taking lessons from this to make it the norm.

That’s true.. FO is not a 25 years old newbie, he’s an experienced guy with thousands of flight hours. Sully got more of the credit because he managed to ditch the plane safely. It’s kinda teamwork anyway..
