One thing I have to say is that Lucic is a fantastic power forward, and is completely suited for the playoffs. However, he is definitely not a top player in the NHL. He deserves third line ice time at best, and should be used to gain momentum.
I would take him on my team any day, but I wouldn’t expect anything more than 40-50 points from him.
And Komisarek really needed to realize that he was outmatched by Lucic in the beginning, and not use a personal battle get in the way of playing the game.

i’ll add that komisarek will be one of the main defenceman for the US in 2010, while lucic will get cut by canada, LOL.
as a side note, that was a bit lame by lucic, he sneakily dropped his glove and grabbed the “sweet spot” on komi’s jersey, THEN started fighting. i’m sure he could kick his ass fair and square, but i’m starting to lose respect for the guy.

Tell me if there has been any hockey where there was no fight. That there has been a fight in every game surprises me. I am stunned and speechless. I am amazed. What kind of sport and culture is this? Hockey seems a nice sport, but the fighting is beyond me. Is it part of the game? What will make them stop? Death of a player? They are tarnishing this good sport.

I’m a Habs fan and I completely agree with you. There’s a lot of dickheads stupid enough to boo USA National Anthem despite the fact that Komisarek, Higgins, Bouillon, Pacioretty and others are born in the US. There will always be stupid fans in hockey, especially in a Bruins-Habs confrontation.
