NFL ( American Football / Gridiron ) Hits and Rugby Hits

by Big Ben on March 27, 2009

Quick video i made. Seen alot of videos between Rugby and NFL tackles, with pretty poor rugby representation. So figured i'd make this video with some real rugby big hits. …

2 years ago I broke my leg and tore 4 ligements in my ankle and walked my ass 100 yards to the training room. Guess that mad me a man, I was 16. I also broke both the raduis and unla in my left arm diving for a ball in baseball( i bat right handed, left is the follow through arm) and i was the first to bat the next inning both hurt like hell but i did it. the point is everyone can be tough we footballers have the same mentality no matter how much pain you get up and walk your ass off

If anyone says this is pushed to the limit I will laugh. Hard.

Stamina, exhaustion?

Anonymous 03.27.09 at 1:35 am

are you serious? every physical limit i can think of is being pushed to the extreme in gridiron.

as a rugby league player you know that my statement is going to be bias…but there is no comparison between these sports rugby league is a more physically stronger game…i mean in nfl you have people protecter the guy with ball sometimes in nrl you’ve just got ur self running into bout 2, 3 mass defenders without wearing any padding at all…and then u get hit…but the best part is…YOU GET BACK UP…thats wat makes nrl a mans game…no matter how hard u get hit…u juz get bak up and laugh

I didn’t mate. I’ve seen most games, that and the bunnies game are the only ones i haven’t seen.

I’ll definately give it a look when it finishes downloading.

Mark O’Meley collisions are always worth seeing lol.

It worth an upload on my page by itself?

hey z0m did you see the roosters vs the raiders in the weekends NRL games, theres a collision between mark omeley and one of the opposing props that definitly deserves a spot in one of these hard hit compilations.

I watch football as well as I do watch and play Rugby. I honestly favor rugby more. Although the disputes are high, Rugby has such a higher hit ratio as to AF.
Don’t get me wrong, AF has some hard hits. But as to the time a rugby player must get hit, fall, and get back up is so much harder as to a tackle and an end of a play. Football also has pads with do absorb some impact but as to this day, I believe Rugby stands tall. Correction. Rugby League. :)
Don’t flame me please! D:

a sport is something which pushes the mental and physical limits of a human being in a certain way. There is nothing on earth that does that like Rugby except probably War… And american football does neither of those things. So, NO, it is not a sport

Anonymous 03.27.09 at 1:35 am

you couldn’t name one (american) football rule don’t try to say its not a sport..

Anonymous 03.27.09 at 1:35 am

and rugby has no pads. Thats the way to do it

Anonymous 03.27.09 at 1:35 am

wow…after this nfl is..gay!

Anonymous 03.27.09 at 1:35 am

both sports are hard hitting, and thats the way its ment to be!!

Anonymous 03.27.09 at 1:35 am

Rugby is cooler. Im an american female and id say american football is lame….a bunch of fat men running around jumping on eachother…or sexy european men in shorts with sexy legs running and actually playing a sport….hm…

Anonymous 03.27.09 at 1:35 am

their is a A/F league over here u know called BAFL… and we do know how to hit thanks.. jason brisbane is a linebacker that went over to the nfl.. and 5 guy also went over to play college.

Anonymous 03.27.09 at 1:35 am

i never said anything about pads being for pussies. i know american football is a rough game.

Anonymous 03.27.09 at 1:35 am

Rugby has better ‘tackles’, Gridiron has better ‘hits’. There is a difference between the two. In Rugby/League you have front on contact and you have to take care where you hit. Whereas in gridiron, you can pretty much hit a player how you like and from any angle due to pads. gridiron has more side hits etc.

Pads might be pussy but they allow for better contact.

Anonymous 03.27.09 at 1:35 am

i play football and rugby and rugby is so much better it gets rid of all the fat asses so you can actually have a continuing play
