since i am logged in under my sons profile yes it will say 19. i am a graduate of northwestern state university as a aviation science major were i received all of my pilot certificates including my ATP certification. I am based out of JFK with Delta Airline, if you do not believe me you my call them and ask them youself.

I’m currently training for my PPL and will go on to earn a commercial license, and all I can say is that if you think being a commercial pilot is as easy as flicking a few switches you wont make it as an airline pilot. While yes you CAN earn a CPL with with money, it doesn’t mean there is no skill involved. With an attitude like that you will never get hired by an airline, and you’ll be lucky to even fly for a small company. And btw, you wont be making £100k the first few years on the job!

nsutrumpter,according to your profile, you’re only 19! You are too young to be an airline pilot! No company would hire you.
All you need to get your airline pilot licence is money because it costs about $100,000 for them to train you.
It’s not as if you need to go through a tough selection process to get your CPL or airline pilot licence………….IT’S ALL ABOUT MONEY!

hey DerKaiserWilhelm i am a airliner pilot and it is not easy at all…there is a huge diffrence when u fly the small general aviation aircraft compared to the 747 i fly…with talk like that it will be very hard for you to get a company to hire you

Being an airline pilot is not an easy job , it is very demanding and highly skillful. Progressing from PPL to CPL is harder than you may think.
As for £100,00 starting salary , it’s more like £30,000.
You make piloting sound so boring ” Flick the switch and let the plane fly ” , I’m guessing that’s more a quote aimed to airbus planes right.
While the autopilot is on you still have to moniter stuff. I’m 14 and I’m personally telling you that you need to go study more about piloting an so on.

I want to be an airline pilot. I’m currently doing my PPL (private pilots licence) and then i’m going to progress to my CPL (commercial pilots licence) and then progress to flying airliner size aircraft.
I want to be an airline pilot because it’s such an easy job (though training is very tough) and i’ll get paid £100,000 a year for just boarding an aircraft, flicking the auto pilot switch, while the computer systems do the real piloting.
